Tom & Sharon Powell
Thomas Powell: Who am I?? Well my dog Annie thinks I’m her favorite toy, my wife thinks… well she tells me that I’m the love of her life, I’m also her driver, breakfast cook, upstairs maid and gardener. To my
children and grandchildren I’m just Poppy, the grumpy lovable old guy who would do any thing for them. Sharon Powell: Who is she? Annie the dog likes her (but not as much as she likes me), her children and grandchildren adore her and her husband, well, I don’t call her the Queen for nothing. She’s the best.
Sharon’s from the North, New Jersey, and I’m from the South, South Carolina. We met about 47 years ago in California and were married just six months after I returned from Viet Nam. The Marine Corps was one of the highpoints of my life, but not my chosen career path. I spent the next 35 plus years working in the Utilities Industry, retiring from the Avista Utilities (Washington Water Power) in 2004. Since retiring, I have been working with Sharon as a Realtor in the North Idaho area. We are both members of the Coeur d’ alene Association of Realtors.
Sharon has worked in retail sales, banking, lending and was a school teacher, as well as home schooling our two girls. She has spent the last 26 years working as a Realtor in North Idaho mostly in the Post Falls / Coeur d’ alene areas.
We have two daughters, Cheryl and Christy. Cheryl has been teaching English and Journalism at Pensacola Christian College, after getting 2 Masters Degrees,,, she takes after her mother, if she took after me she would be teaching shop. Cheryl is married to David Gregory, who is also on staff at PCC, his educational background is in History.
Christy is married to Lance Hohenstreet, who is a Missionary with Rock of Ages Prison Ministries, don‘t ask me why anyone would want to go to prison if they didn‘t have to! Christy teaches fourth grade at Bethel Baptist Christian School in Spanaway, WA. Not only are our kids a blessing to us, but they gave us our 2 granddaughters. Allyson 18, and Leanne 16, grand kids are the best!!
Sharon and I have a philosophy about real-estate, its one of helping you to find a home, not selling you a house, you have to live in the house and make the investment so we will not pressure you to buy. We hope you will become a longtime friend as well a client.
The Windermere Company has what we believe to be the best training, support for agents anywhere, our goal is to treat people the way they would like to be treated. Not all agents can become Windermere agents, I like to call them the Marine Corps of Real-Estate.
